Discover the enchanting world of storybook illustration!
Our class welcomes kids with imaginative stories brewing in their minds, as well as anyone eager for the exciting adventure of crafting their own original short storybook.
The students will start with brainstorming characters and experimenting with various sketches. Then, they will weave captivating plotlines and bring their ideas to life through storyboards and mood boards.
There's no limit to creativity here; students can explore painting, drawing, collage, mixed media—whatever style inspires them.
Eventually, students will get to showcase their creations through a storytelling session, bringing their stories to life!
What’s in store for our 6 week session
Session 1: Character Development
Craft original characters inspired by storytelling and bring them to life through various artistic expressions.
Session 2: Storyboarding and Moodboarding
Plot your journey with a storyboard and set the tone with a vibrant mood board.
Session 3: Book Creation
Master the art of bookmaking and binding.
Session 4: Final Touches on Your Book
Refine your masterpiece and consider crafting sequels to expand your imaginative universe.
Session 5: Cover Illustration
Design captivating cover art to entice readers into your world.
Session 6: Grand Presentation
Showcase your beautifully crafted books and share your tales with fellow adventurers.

About the Instructor
Hello, I'm Isabel, a designer and illustrator of children's books originally from Manila, Philippines. I have a 6-year-old daughter and we love to get creative through arts and crafts and silly games together.
I'm constantly amazed by children's endless creativity, and I'm excited to take part of a magical journey of illustrating a book with these young, imaginative minds.
